Dr. Jenessa is a licensed acupuncturist certified by the Oregon Medical Board. She obtained her Master’s of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2020, followed by her Doctorate from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2021.
Dr. Jenessa has received specialized training under the guidance of Dr. Gene Hong, MD., LAc., focusing on diagnosis and treatment protocol; as well as Dr. Ed Neal, Md., MSOM, in the revered tradition of HuangDiNeiJing.
Before pursuing her training in Chinese Medicine, Dr. Jenessa contributed to addiction treatment centers as a mental health therapist, specializing in addiction studies. She has a Master’s in Mental Health from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR., and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Portland State University.
Dr. Jenessa grew up on a produce farm in Sherwood, OR. Growing up with nature she finds solace and joy in the serene natural settings that Oregon offers.

Momo is the 3rd generation in her family to have studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, she spent much of her childhood in a herbal clinic, drinking medicinal syrup, smelling and eating herbs.
Dr. Jenessa and Momo were cohorts at OCOM, they grew closer based on their mutual love for animals, and their passion to help others with Chinese Medicine.
During her time at OCOM, Momo took special interest in Chinese Herbal Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine Nutrition (food therapy). She was particularly interested in the effects Chinese Herbal Medicine had in gynecological issues, including infertility and PCOS, as well as how big of a part food therapy played in our overall health and supported our recoveries. She also spent extra time in acupuncture clinic, supporting patients going through addiction detoxification, and cancer recovery.
Momo is grateful for the generational wisdom her family has passed down, and is excited to continue to work with Dr. Jenessa.
